My fashionable Mama!

I love St. Christophers Place in London - it's tucked behind the hustle and bustle of Bond Street, and has such a lovely array of restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops (including Workshop coffee, which I love!)

My Mum and I went to La Tasca for a spot of Spanish Tapas for lunch. I am a huge lover of Spanish food, but I find that tapas can be very hit and miss - luckily, La Tasca was a total hit. The food was great, as was the service, and I had possibly the best chicken croquettes I have ever had. As tapas is shared food, it was definitely affordable as well.

I have been waiting months to buy this shirt, but the price always put me off. Eventually, I went "sod it" and just bought it, and I have 'no ragrets' whatsoever. It is the perfect, relaxed white shirt, super comfy, but with a tailored edge that can make any outfit instantly chic. I paired it with my relaxed boyfriend coat, a pair of comfy 'cropped flares' from Topshop, and some ankle boots, for an easily wearable every-day London look.

(apologies for not posting for a while - I've been ill with laryngitis for over a week now, and have only just managed to muster up the energy to go out, but I'm on the mend for sure!)

Lunch at Ping Pong, St. Christopher's Place

I really enjoy the last days of sale, as I always seem to find random gems that I would probably have glanced over before. These trousers, with the fabulous white on blue print were a find from, you guessed it, Whistles. With a smart leg cut, but a sporty draw-string feature, it's safe to say that these trousers were unusual. They were the last pair left, and considering they were only £20, I couldn't say no.

If you haven't guessed by now, Whistles is by far my favourite place to shop. Their clothing is well made, with clean cuts and sharp, modern takes on classic items. This blue jumper was the first item I ever purchased from Whistles, in the sale - I'd been looking for a cropped navy jumper for months, but everywhere I looked, the quality was rubbish. I then found this 100% cotton gem in the sale for a fraction of the original price.

I'd gone out with my Mum for a spot of lunch in central London and to run some errands, so I wanted a comfy but chic outfit. We ended up going to Ping Pong, my favourite chain of restaurants for lunch, in St. Christopher's Place off Oxford Street. If you're looking for a place with a large menu, great cocktails and you love dim-sum, then I thoroughly recommend this fabulous place. The branch in Soho (off Carnaby St.) is by far my favourite, and the best.

A little Birthday throwback

 Tshirt - Whistles
White trousers - Tommy Hillfiger
Blazer - Bershka
Sandals - Russell and Bromley
Necklace - Asos

Hard shake and a birthday brownie

Scallop starters with pork crackling

It's that time of year when the weather is a little bit all over the place - one minute it's beautiful and sunny, and the next it's grey and threatening rain and wind. Not. Fun.
I was scrolling through a bunch of my photo's when I came across these snaps from my birthday in September - and I thought, why not post (apologies it's my fourth outfit post in a row!) a throwback outfit?

I got these brown leather sandals for my birthday from Russell and Bromley - I'd been eyeing them up all Summer. There were a few different colour options - white or brown leather, or blue suede, and as much as the blue suede tempted me, I felt that these brown leather beauties would be more versatile with outfits. The heel height and platform make the shoe super comfortable and easy to walk in, too, so they were an absolute hit!

For my birthday, I went out to lunch with my family in this amazing, art-deco vibe restaurant off Cheapside in East Central (I'm sorry I cannot remember what it was called, when I do, I'll write it in!) - what I can remember? The food was absolutely incredible, no doubt!

Oh how I miss warm and sunny days where sandals were appropriate... Summer can hurry up now!

Thrills and Frills

 Lunch at Crepe Affair

Coat - Mango
Shirt - Ralph Lauren
Trousers - M&S (Per Una)
Boots - Russell and Bromley
Bag - Furla

Okay, so it wasn't actually the most thrilling of days, all I did was go out for a crepe lunch and a charity shop donation spree, but let me tell you, this shirt has been quite a thrill in itself ever since I found it in the Ralph Lauren outlet in Bicester Village. It has such a lovely cut and shape, being fitted yet loose enough to be incredibly comfortable (I got it in a size small), and I cannot even begin to describe how much I adore the beautiful front panelled frills. It makes me feel like a cross between Victoria woman and Mozart in his prime!
These olive green peg-leg trousers from M&S that I bought the other day are the perfect addition to this shirt due to the uber high waist and tapered cut of the leg. And, to add a slight casual touch, my grey blazer-style boyfriend coat relaxes the outfit to make it more accessible for a casual day out :)
