So, if you know me well enough, you will know that I am a SERIOUS coffee lover.
A latte and a cappuccino
My beloved on-the-go vanilla syrup...
The stairs leading down to the pinball lounge
My favourite piece by artist Martin Sharp
The beautiful sky overlooking Turnham Green Terrace
There are quite a few coffee shops in London that I am a lover of. Somehow, most of them have all ended up being in Chiswick. Chiswick is a great part of London if you're a coffee lover - there are quite a few of the pesky chains (e.g. Starbucks) dotted around, but there are also a few genuinely brilliant new coffee spots. Chief, has become a firm favourite.
As well as being in a low-key area (a.k.a one of the dead ends off Turnham Green Terrace), the coffee shop also has a low-key industrial vibe. The exposed brick walls and mis-matched geometric chairs add to the really cool statement, already bustling spot in Chiswick.
As well as having a fab selection of home-bakes, sandwiches and, wait for it, CRODOUGHS (aka a cross between a croissant and a donut), this place serves up some very good quality coffee. Chief uses Workshop beans for the majority of their caffeinated drinks (they used to use Alchemy, another favourite of mine), and their ice-latte is seriously to DIE for. Sadly, due to this weather, I had to stick to a regular latte, but that was just fine and dandy for me!
I know what you're thinking, but what makes this place more special than the others? Ah, well here is your answer: Chief is not just a regular coffee shop. It is also, *holds breath*... a pinball lounge! Yes, the basement to Chief holds 6 (I think) pinball machines. It's safe to say that this coffee shop is addictive to go to in more ways than one!
Let me know if you like this coffee shop review and if you want me to do anymore :)
