I'd been looking for a pair of black heeled knee highs, but I couldn't seem to find a single pair that were comfortable and flattering. And then, Stuart Weitzman, my favourite shoe designer, called to me... His collection of boots for Russell & Bromley had been talked about everywhere for their thigh-high, super sleek designs, and when I saw (and tried on) this pair, with the almost crescent moon shaped heel, I was sold. Alas, the price - originally marked at £500, these boots weren't going to be gracing my wardrobe any time soon.
The sale came and went, and when the boots were finally reduced to a price that I was willing to pay, my size had been completely sold out. Nevertheless, I didn't give up - and that's when eBay came into play. I found one pair of the boots, not particularly well advertised, but at the same price I last saw in the sale, and in my size. I gambled my luck a bit, and clicked "buy now" - and lo and behold, they were the real deal!
I cannot even begin to express how much I adore these boots - they're versatile, sleek, and can take me from day to night easily. On a sunny and barely chilly day in London, I paired it with a pair of super skinny jeans, a floaty white blouse, and a smart, plaid coat. Almost effortless, but with an edge.
