The Slogan Sweatshirt

Flannel Shirt - Topshop (sale) / Sweatshirt - Topshop / Leggings - Primark / Jacket - Barbour / Shoes - Underground (Black leather double sole brothel creepers) / Bag - Furla / Sunglasses - Ray Ban (Round)

On a sunny, but blustery, walk through Richmond last Sunday afternoon, my family and I ended up on Richmond Hill. The views from here are incredible - I highly recommend visiting.

I was going for a comfy look that looked effortless, but still had a bit of edge to it. Enter the preppy combo of plaid shirt (although quite a grungey flannel one at that) and slogan sweatshirt - feeling a bit like a 1980's highschooler, but oh well! With the addition of a barbour jacket (for added rain protection - I mean, we do live in London!), and black brothel creepers for a grungey edge (which went quite well with the grungey flannel shirt), it was the perfect laid back weekend look.

The Classic Jumper

Leather Jacket - Reiss / Cream Jumper - Topshop / Girlfriend Jeans - Topshop / Shoes - Underground (Black leather double sole creepers) / Bag - Furla / Sunglasses - Ray Ban (round) / Lipstick - Sensai

It was one of those days where the weather was a little bit unpredictable - it wasn't cold, but it was windy enough that a jumper was in order. Enter, the classic cream knit! I'd been looking for a cream jumper for a long time, and had been eyeing up the American Apparel fisherman's knit for ages, but as soon as I found this one lurking in Topshop, I couldn't say no. The high neck gives it more of a retro quality, which I truly admire, and it adds that extra bit of interest to a classic everyday piece.

On this occasion, I teamed it with my dark blue girlfriend jeans (that Topshop has now rebranded as the straight leg, although I find that they aren't exactly the same), a leather jacket, and my black brothel creepers, which were my favourite shoes when I was in school. They're definitely battered, but loved all the same, and are so comfortable that I could never throw them out.

It was a little bit 70's, a little bit rocker, and a whole lot of classic.

View overlooking the vinyl collection (for listening and for sale)

Coffee Shop: Rhythm and Brews
Location: 22 Walpole Gardens, Chiswick, London
What makes it special: Not only is this cosy and cool coffee shop serving up super tasty food, killer smoothies and milkshakes (my personal favourites are the kale kick and the oreo milkshake) and well crafted coffee's, Rhythm and Brews is also a vinyl hub, playing records on request. The majority of them are also on sale, which is great for someone like me who's constantly looking for new vinyl to add to my collection. The decor is amazing - rustic meets rocker, the staff are friendly, and there's always something new to try and a new record to listen to. I highly recommend visiting Rhythm and Brews, which is slightly tucked away from Chiswick High Street in West London (W4), by Turnham Green Church. If you haven't been, then you're missing out!

The Teddy Coat

Lipstick - Charlotte Tillbury Matte Revolution in Love Liberty

Grey Top - Topshop
Straight Leg Jeans - Topshop
Coat - Whistles (AW15)
Bag - Furla
Patent Boots - Office
Scarf - Vintage Givenchy
Sunglasses - Ray Ban (Round)

Although the weather's been much more Springy as of late, today was a bit chillier than normal, so I pulled out my Whistles Teddy Coat for a day in Knightsbridge with my Mum while running a few errands. This is by far my most unusual style of coat - the slightly oval, 'teddy' shape and fuzzy material paired with this gorgeous, aubergine colour makes it stand out. It's definitely not my most flattering piece, but when styled well, it can give any outfit a slouchy but put-together vibe - and because of the length, it keeps you looking relatively streamlined.

I paired the coat with a simple grey shirt from Topshop, my new favourite straight leg jeans and my patent leather boots, for some extra shine and a bit of added height. I then paid more attention to the details - the vintage Givenchy scarf for a retro quality, and my new Ray Ban round sunglasses - they just give such an effortlessly cool and classic look to any outfit.

I spent the day running errands in Knightsbridge and then popped into Harvey Nichols for lunch with my Mum in the Harvey Nichols cafe - I got the chicken with 'pomme puree' and mushrooms, and it was excellent.
